Two highly competitive national scholarships for sophomores and juniors. The Office for Scholarship and Fellowship Advising has announced the opening of these competitions for the 2016-2017 year.

Highly competitive national scholarship competition.

Established in 1992, this scholarship honors a high school senior planning to enroll at the University of Connecticut who, as a role model or advocate, has advanced the role and contributions of women in society.

In memory of Christa McAuliffe, the first teacher in space. To be considered, a student must be attending a four-year college or university to pursue a career in teaching.

Presented in memory of a longtime supporter of Nutmeg PTA to a student who has been identified with special needs and will be attending a post-secondary education or training.

Presented to a student planning on attending a four-year college to pursue a career in service to children other than teaching.

Applicants must be graduating seniors from Fairfield or New Haven counties and an active bowler currently in a bowling league, school bowling team or a school bowling club. The applicant must be entering an accredited university, college or vocational school.

Awards need-based scholarships to students who live in Greenwich or attend Greenwich High School who have demonstrated financial need. Awards are paid directly to the college or university for tuition, room, board and mandatory fees.

This scholarship awards students in undergraduate and graduate degree programs in construction, construction management, interior design, architecture, landscape design or civil, mechanical, structural and electrical engineering. Scholarships will be awarded based on the academic achievements.

A $750 scholarship to be awarded to a CT high school student who will attend a four-year college and who has a parent (or legal guardian) actively serving in the military or who is an honorably discharged veteran.

Offering scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community or junior college or career school. The program includes: a $5,000 scholarship, two $1,000 scholarships and a total of 10 scholarships of $500.

Applications are open for professional development activities focusing on online learning. The expense for the activity must be incurred between May 11, and Aug. 10, 2020.

Provides scholarships to high school and college students who have demonstrated they are innovative and creative problem-solvers. This is a scholarship of up to $20,000, or $5,000 per year for four years.

A $1,000 scholarship for students who have experienced challenges in their life and have the drive to succeed. It is open to all college-bound seniors who will be attending an accredited two- or four-year college in the fall.

From November 1-30, 2023, students who have a tribal affiliation or who identify as Native American are invited to apply for free.

An annual scholarship providing $1,590 to eligible degree-seeking CSU employees who have made sustained progress toward attaining an undergraduate or graduate degree from CSU.

Supports admitted students in CSU Online degree programs who balance education with work, family, military service, and/or other life responsibilities. Recognizes the persistence of nontraditional students. Award may cover tuition, fees, or educational expenses. The fund is limited and competitive.

Determines eligibility for federal financial aid, including grants, loans, and work study programs, based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Allows eligible immigrant students in Colorado to receive in-state tuition and state financial aid at Colorado colleges.

Financial aid program available to all admitted transfer applicants, including international students, based on demonstrated financial need.

A scholarship type at CSU with a single selection criterion for recipients. Can be established as an annual fund (minimum $1,000 donation) or an endowed fund (minimum $25,000 donation).

Helps first-generation college students who have significant financial need. This scholarship is supported by donor contributions.

A CSU Alumni Association scholarship supporting junior or senior undergraduates from the Metro Denver area who demonstrate financial need.

A scholarship type at CSU which can have multiple selection criteria for recipients. Can be established as an annual fund (minimum $2,500 donation) or an endowed fund (minimum $50,000 donation).
