Albany Technical College

Further evolving to better serve its community, the institution was renamed Albany Technical Institute in 1988 and placed under the strategic direction of the newly formed TCSG (Technical College System of Georgia). This pivotal moment officially tasked Albany Tech with providing comprehensive technical education opportunities across its designated service delivery area, which includes Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Dougherty, Lee, Randolph, and Terrell counties. In a move reflecting its expanded scope and esteemed status, the institution was officially renamed Albany Technical College on July 6, 2000.
