Antioch University-New England (AUNE) stands out as a pioneering institution dedicated to graduate education with a strong practical bent. Established in 1964 as Antioch-Putney, it quickly evolved to meet the needs of an East Coast population seeking advanced degrees that translate directly into real-world impact. Initially opening in Putney, Vermont, and later expanding in Harrisville, New Hampshire, the institution, then known as Antioch New England Graduate School, built a legacy of innovative education. While its historical ties to the broader Antioch system, including the famed Antioch College of Ohio, faced challenging times in the 2000s, AUNE successfully forged its own path. Now independent of Antioch College, it thrives in a beautifully renovated factory in Keene, New Hampshire, fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
