Arapahoe Community College

Arapahoe Community College (ACC) stands as a vibrant public institution, dedicated to providing accessible higher education and career pathways to its diverse student body, which proudly numbers around 20,000 under the leadership of President Stephanie J. Fujii. Since its inception, ACC has been a cornerstone for learning in the region, empowering individuals to achieve their academic and professional aspirations close to home.

The college's story began in 1965, not from a top-down mandate, but from the passionate efforts of Littleton residents, driven by figures like Virginia Baker, who saw the critical need for post-high school education in their community. What started with a modest 550 students has blossomed into a comprehensive college system, deeply rooted in its commitment to local educational needs and growth, eventually joining the Colorado Community College System.

ACC's commitment to expanding educational access is evident in its strategic growth beyond its main campus. From the establishment of its Parker Campus in 2001, which evolved from a collaborative university center, to the ambitious $40 million Castle Rock campus that opened its doors in 2019, ACC consistently seeks to bring quality learning opportunities closer to students.
