The student experience at ASU Mid-South is enriched by a vibrant campus life, including intercollegiate athletics. In 2010, the college introduced men's and women's basketball teams, adopting the spirited Greyhounds mascot. After initially competing in NJCAA Division III, the Greyhounds elevated their game to Division II in 2012, where they continue to represent the college with pride in NJCAA Region 2.

A pivotal moment in its history occurred in 2015 when Mid-South Community College officially joined the esteemed Arkansas State University System.
