Arlington Baptist University

Arlington Baptist University (ABU) stands as a distinctive private Bible college, deeply rooted in its mission of "Preparing Worldchangers." With a focused student body of 220, ABU fosters a close-knit community dedicated to spiritual formation and academic rigor within a Christian framework, emphasizing a life of service and impact.

The institution's rich history began in 1939, when J. Frank Norris founded it as the Fundamental Baptist Bible Institute, initially holding classes at the First Baptist Church of Fort Worth. The early graduates went on to become pastors or missionaries. Over the decades, it evolved through several name changes, becoming the Bible Baptist Seminary in 1945 and later Arlington Baptist College in 1955, coinciding with its move to its current location. This period also saw significant leadership changes, including the tenure of Earl K. Oldham and the appointment of Wayne Martin, who led the college to full accreditation, marking ABU's foundational role in a broader religious movement.

In 2017, the institution proudly adopted its current name, Arlington Baptist University, reflecting its expanded academic scope, with bachelor's and master's programs now divided into distinct schools rather than divisions.
