Nestled in the heart of Arlington, Texas, Arlington Baptist University (ABU) stands as a beacon of faith-based higher education. Founded in 1939, this private Bible college lives by its inspiring motto: 'Preparing Worldchangers.' The university's rich history began as the Fundamental Baptist Bible Institute, established by J. Frank Norris. From its humble beginnings with 16 students holding classes at the First Baptist Church of Fort Worth, the institution quickly evolved. It underwent a significant renaming to Bible Baptist Seminary in 1945, navigating early leadership changes that even led to the formation of another prominent Baptist college. After a period of transition, the college found its permanent home in Arlington in 1955, solidifying its identity and mission.

Throughout its journey, ABU has demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and spiritual formation. Under the leadership of President Wayne Martin in the 1980s, the college achieved full accreditation, a testament to its rigorous programs. The institution further evolved, officially becoming Arlington Baptist University in 2017, a name change that reflected the growth and diversification of its bachelor's and master's degree offerings, now organized into distinct schools.
