Asbury Theological Seminary

Asbury Theological Seminary, founded in 1923, stands as a vibrant institution dedicated to its powerful motto: "The Whole Bible for the Whole World." With over 1,700 students, this seminary is a dynamic hub for theological education, preparing individuals for ministry and service across the globe under the leadership of President David F. Watson, who is set to take office in 2025.

The seminary's rich history began in Wilmore, Kentucky, when Henry Clay Morrison, then president of Asbury College, established it. While initially linked, Asbury Theological Seminary independently distinguished itself in 1940 to meet accreditation standards. Despite their separation, both institutions maintain a close, collegial relationship, rooted in a shared theological heritage that continues to benefit both communities and enrich the campus environment.

Asbury Seminary offers a comprehensive and rigorous academic experience through its four distinct academic schools: the School of Biblical Interpretation, the E. Stanley Jones School of World Mission and Evangelism, the School of Theology & Formation, and the School of Counseling.
