A pivotal moment came in August 2002 with the launch of its innovative magnet high school, which quickly grew to serve 600 students, with its first class graduating in 2006. This dual-enrollment model allows students to gain valuable career experience and college credits early on. Reflecting its expanded mission and comprehensive educational scope, the institution was officially renamed Atlantic Technical College in 2014.
