Baptist University of the Americas (BUA) stands as a testament to resilience and dedication in theological education. As a private university with a close-knit community of 215 students, BUA offers an intimate and focused learning environment. It is renowned for its deep roots in ministry training, historically serving and empowering leaders within the Hispanic community, and continues to shape individuals for impactful service in various capacities.

Founded in 1947 by missionary Paul Siebenmann as the Mexican Baptist Training School, BUA's journey is one of continuous growth and adaptation. From its humble beginnings, with classes hosted by local churches, to establishing its own campuses and navigating various affiliations, the institution has consistently pursued its mission. Its history includes significant periods under the San Antonio Baptist Association, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and even a merger with Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, each chapter contributing to its rich legacy.

Today, operating under its current name since 2003, Baptist University of the Americas provides a comprehensive educational experience focused on preparing students for leadership and ministry.
