Brazosport College, proudly known as "The College of Choice," stands as a beacon of educational opportunity in Texas. Since its opening in 1968, this public community college has evolved from its humble beginnings with 868 students to a thriving institution serving 3,829 students today. It’s distinguished by its unique ability to offer baccalaureate degrees, a privilege granted by Texas law in 2003, making it a pioneer among community colleges in expanding higher education access.

The college's flagship offering, the Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) degree program, launched in 2005, provides practical, career-focused education. Further enhancing its commitment to diverse student needs, the Health Management Services major was added to the BAT program in 2014, equipping graduates for vital roles in the healthcare sector.
