Originally incorporated as the Academy of the New Church, this institution has long been a beacon for students seeking a meaningful education rooted in the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg and the General Church of the New Jerusalem. What began as a seminary and high school, supported by visionaries like John Pitcairn, steadily evolved into a comprehensive institution. By 1914, it proudly became a four-year college, and by 1922, it was conferring Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees, solidifying its commitment to broad academic excellence. This journey of growth culminated in 1997 with its renaming to Bryn Athyn College of the New Church, marking a new chapter while honoring its foundational legacy.

Today, Bryn Athyn College offers a vibrant student experience for its 285 students, ensuring a personalized and supportive learning environment. The campus boasts modern amenities, including new student residence cottages opened in 2008, and a state-of-the-art science center and admissions and student life building completed in 2009.
