Calvary University stands as a distinctive private institution dedicated to "Biblical Equipping for Excellence in Life and Service." The university's rich history traces back to 1932, originally established as Calvary Bible College. It's the result of significant mergers, including Kansas City Bible College (1932) and Midwest Bible College (1938) in 1961, which united to form Calvary Bible College. Later, in 1987, Citadel Bible College further expanded its academic family. This legacy of collaboration has continually strengthened its educational foundation.

A pivotal moment arrived in mid-2016 when the institution re-branded as Calvary University. This strategic change addressed critical perceptions regarding employment opportunities, international missions, and the quality and scope of education from a "Bible college." Today, students benefit from a campus situated on the historic former Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base in Kansas City, with Madison Hall serving as the main administration building, offering a unique and engaging learning environment that supports its expanded vision.
