Carlow University stands as a beacon of education in Pittsburgh, with a rich history deeply rooted in the traditions of the Sisters of Mercy. Originating from their arrival in 1843 from County Carlow, Ireland, the institution officially began as Mount Mercy College in 1929. Throughout its journey, Carlow has demonstrated a pioneering spirit. It was an early adopter in providing access to higher education, notably admitting men under the G.I.
