Carolina College of Biblical Studies

Carolina College of Biblical Studies, established in 1973, stands as a dedicated Bible college committed to fostering deep biblical understanding and practical ministry skills. Under the leadership of President Dr. Bill F. Korver, the college provides a faith-centered educational journey designed to equip students for impactful service within their communities and beyond.

The institution's rich history began as the Cape Fear School of Theology, founded by Bill Owens. After leadership transitioned to Ralph Richardson in 1978, the college found its permanent home and commenced classes in 1980, adopting the name Carolina Bible College. A significant milestone occurred in 2004 with Dr. Korver's appointment as president, followed by the college's rebranding to Carolina College of Biblical Studies in 2012, reflecting its evolving mission and reach.

Academically, CCBS prides itself on a robust faculty, comprising over 20 dedicated members, all holding at least a master's degree, with more than 25% having earned doctorates. This commitment to scholarly excellence is complemented by their active involvement in local church and para-church ministries, ensuring students benefit from both academic rigor and real-world experience.
