This program draws aspiring 8th graders from across four counties, admitting a competitive cohort of 100 students annually from a pool of approximately 300 applicants. Students embark on a rigorous four- or five-year curriculum, seamlessly integrating high school and college courses, culminating in the significant achievement of both a high school diploma and, for most, an associate degree.

Further expanding educational access, Alexander Early College High School, established in 2016 on CVCC’s Alexander Center Campus, mirrors this successful model. It empowers students to graduate within four years with a high school diploma and an associate degree, with options to specialize in science, art, or gain valuable business program credits. Serving around 230 students, Alexander Early College exemplifies CVCC's commitment to providing localized, advanced academic pathways for its community.
