Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary

Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary (CCCTS) is a dynamic institution dedicated to equipping men and women with a Christ-centered education for impactful service. The institution's journey began in 1996, initially offering courses in 1997 on the campus of New Life Baptist Church, under the leadership of then-senior pastor Dr. Eddie G. Grigg, who now serves as president. By April 1999, it officially became New Life Theological Seminary and embarked on the crucial path to recognized accreditation. A significant milestone occurred in 2002 when Whiting Avenue Baptist Church generously donated a spacious 37,000-square-foot facility, allowing the seminary to establish a campus near Uptown Charlotte. This move paved the way for its successful TRACS accreditation in 2003, further solidifying its commitment to academic excellence.

The year 2014 marked a pivotal transformation for the institution. Following an aggressive growth plan approved by the Board of Directors, New Life Theological Seminary officially changed its name to Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary. This name change, approved by both the North Carolina Secretary of State and TRACS, reflected an expanded vision to be "more than just a seminary," aiming for broader impact across cities for Christ. This strategic evolution, combined with recent significant growth in enrollment and a relocation to a new campus in 2019, positions CCCTS for a promising future in Christian higher education.
