The journey of CCC began in 1966, opening its doors to 693 part-time students who took classes within the halls of Gladstone High School. This humble beginning quickly set the stage for remarkable growth. Just two years later, a significant milestone was reached with the groundbreaking of the Clairmont Building, establishing the Oregon City Campus as CCC's first permanent home. This early expansion laid the foundation for the college's ongoing evolution into the robust educational institution it is today.
