Clary Sage College

Clary Sage College stands as a dynamic private career college, dedicated to equipping students with the essential skills and knowledge needed for successful, in-demand careers. Under the leadership of President Kimberly Sebastian, Clary Sage College continues its tradition of providing accessible and impactful vocational training.

The college's significant history began in 1995 with the founding of Dental Directions: The School of Dental Assisting by Teresa Knox. This initial venture rapidly proved its success, graduating a dozen students in its first year and expanding to over 300 dental assistant graduates by mid-1998. This early momentum led to the institution's evolution, initiating its application for accreditation with the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) in 1996 and soon operating under the broader name, Community Care College (CCC), upon receiving accreditation. This period marked a foundational expansion in its mission and reach.

Clary Sage College (operating within the Community Care College system) further solidified its commitment to comprehensive education by moving to its current state-of-the-art campus in 2003. Academic offerings expanded in 2004 to include Associate of Applied Science degrees, later refined to an Associate of Occupational Science Business and Industry Management degree in 2017. These academic advancements underscore the institution's dedication to providing robust, career-aligned educational pathways.

Demonstrating its growing impact and recognized value, the Community Care College system, which includes Clary Sage College, received a monumental US $16 million donation from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott in 2025. This historic gift, the largest in the colleges' history, highlights the institution's critical role in regional higher education and its capacity to foster student success through enhanced resources and opportunities, preparing a new generation of skilled professionals.
