Clatsop Community College

Welcome to Clatsop Community College (CCC), a pioneering institution and Oregon's very first community college, proudly established in 1958. Nestled in a vibrant coastal community, CCC has a rich history of serving students with foundational education and practical skills, preparing them for both further academic pursuits and direct entry into the workforce.

CCC's early vision was comprehensive, offering both two years of transferable classes for students planning to continue their education at four-year universities, and specialized two-year sequences in high-demand fields like Electronics, Business, Automotive, and Building Construction. This dual focus has remained a cornerstone of its academic offerings, providing flexible and valuable pathways tailored to diverse student goals.

The college's commitment to its students is also evident in its campus evolution. What began under the direction of the Astoria Board of Education, soon grew into an independent, county-wide education district by 1962. Modern facilities, including the renovated Towler Hall, Patriot Hall, and the new Columbia Hall—a result of the Jerome Campus Redevelopment project completed after breaking ground in 2008—ensure a contemporary and engaging learning environment for today's students.
