College of Eastern Idaho

College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) stands as a vital pillar of education in Idaho Falls, Idaho, offering a dynamic pathway for students seeking real-world skills or a solid foundation for further academic pursuits. As one of only four comprehensive community colleges in the state, CEI is uniquely positioned to serve the diverse educational needs of Eastern Idaho, guided by its compelling motto: "Real education. CEI's journey to becoming a comprehensive community college is a testament to its evolution and community commitment. Founded in 1969 as the Eastern Idaho Vocational Technical School, it steadily grew, transforming into Eastern Idaho Technical College. A pivotal moment occurred in May 2017 when Bonneville County residents voted to establish a community college district, officially transitioning the institution into the College of Eastern Idaho. This significant shift in July 2017, overseen by the Idaho State Board of Education, solidified CEI's role as a broad-spectrum educational provider.

Students at CEI benefit from a robust array of academic strengths designed to align with career demands and higher education goals. The college offers Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, meticulously crafted for transfer to four-year universities, alongside Advanced Technical Certificates for specialized career readiness.
