College of Saint Mary

College of Saint Mary, a private women's university rooted in the rich tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, has been a beacon of education in Omaha, Nebraska, since its founding in 1923. What began as Mt. Saint Mary Junior College quickly evolved, receiving accreditation in 1955 to become a four-year institution and rebranding to its current name. This pivotal year also saw the college move to its present-day campus, solidifying its commitment to providing a dedicated space for its students.

Driven by a mission to empower its students, College of Saint Mary has continuously expanded its academic offerings. Initially a junior college, it demonstrated its progressive vision by introducing master's degrees in 2005 and further elevating its academic profile with doctoral programs in 2007. Today, with a student body of 759, College of Saint Mary remains committed to its unique identity as a private women's university.
