Community College of Beaver County

Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) stands as a vital public community college, serving over 3,600 students with a commitment to accessible education. Under the leadership of President Roger Davis, CCBC is renowned for its welcoming environment and its iconic "Golden Dome" building, a unique recreational facility that doubles as a hub for local events. It's more than just a college; it's a cornerstone of the Beaver County community.

CCBC's journey began in 1966, opening its doors to students in 1967 with a unique start, initially leasing floors in the Freedom National Bank building and seventeen vacant storefronts for its early operations. This innovative spirit led to the establishment of its dedicated campus in Center Township, Beaver County, by 1971. A significant milestone arrived in 1976 with the addition of "The Golden Dome," which quickly became the most recognizable symbol of the college, embodying its vibrant community spirit and athletic prowess.

Continuing its evolution, CCBC expanded its specialized offerings with the creation of an aviation building in Chippewa Township in 1990, establishing a strong program in this critical field. Further enhancing its resources and community connection, the college built a new library in 1997, which not only serves its students but also extends valuable services to the broader Beaver County community.
