Coppin State University, a proud Public Historically Black University (HBCU) in Baltimore, Maryland, has been a cornerstone of educational advancement since its founding in 1900. This institution steadily grew, gaining the authority to grant Bachelor of Science degrees by 1938 and later expanding its degree-granting scope beyond just teacher education in 1963, marking its transformation into Coppin State College.
