Tragically, Fiterman Hall was struck by falling debris and rendered uninhabitable. Yet, with extraordinary dedication, the BMCC community rallied, reopening for classes quickly. This incredible resilience culminated in the opening of a brand-new Fiterman Hall in September 2012, symbolizing the college's unwavering commitment to its students and its enduring place in the city's fabric.
