Divine Mercy University (DMU) stands out as a unique institution dedicated to training mental health professionals who can expertly integrate Catholic principles with the scientific practice of psychology. The university's history began in 1999 with the founding of the Institute for the Psychological Sciences (IPS), a pioneering endeavor focused on preparing doctoral-level mental health experts. In 2015, IPS was restructured and incorporated into the newly expanded Divine Mercy University, which also saw the establishment of its School of Counseling. This evolution allowed DMU to broaden its mission, extending its high-quality education to master's level professionals while continuing its commitment to doctoral studies.
