East Central University

East Central University (ECU) stands as a dynamic public institution in Ada, Oklahoma, a proud member of the state's Regional University System. With a robust offering of courses on its flagship Ada campus, satellite locations in McAlester, Shawnee, and Durant, and comprehensive online programs, ECU is dedicated to making quality education accessible. The university's rich history began in 1909, just two years after Oklahoma achieved statehood, when it was founded as East Central State Normal School.
