Eastern Oklahoma State College

Eastern Oklahoma State College stands as a vibrant public community college with a remarkable history rooted in the very fabric of the region. Originally established in 1908 as the Oklahoma School of Mines and Metallurgy, it has evolved significantly, broadening its academic scope to serve a diverse student body today. This spirit of adaptation continued, leading to its renaming as Eastern Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College in 1941 and ultimately becoming Eastern Oklahoma State College in 1972, gaining its own governing board.
