Eastern Wyoming College

Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) stands as a vital public community college, deeply rooted in the heart of its region. EWC's journey began in 1948 as the Southeast University Center, initially an extension of the University of Wyoming. What started as a part of the Torrington School District quickly blossomed, with local citizens voting to establish the independent Goshen County Community College District in 1956. Over the subsequent years, additional school districts elected to join, further expanding its reach and impact, culminating in its renaming to Eastern Wyoming Community College District in 1968.
