Edmonds College

Established in 1967, its unique name harks back to its initial location in Edmonds, even though its permanent 50-acre campus, once a U.S. Army relay station, has been in Lynnwood since 1970. The college's journey reflects a commitment to growth, providing a dynamic learning environment for over 10,000 students.

Edmonds College distinguishes itself through a pioneering partnership with Central Washington University, initiated in 1975. This collaboration has steadily expanded, allowing students to pursue a range of bachelor's and even a master's degree directly on the Edmonds campus. The opening of Snoqualmie Hall in 2002 solidified CWU's presence, underscoring the college's dedication to providing advanced educational pathways close to home.

From its early days, when the student newspaper was humorously dubbed "The Quagmire" due to campus conditions, to its modern facilities, Edmonds College has fostered a vibrant student experience. It has championed student involvement, appointing its first student trustee in 2013 and celebrating its first lone graduate in 1968. The college's forward-thinking approach culminated in its renaming in 2020, officially becoming Edmonds College to better reflect its expanded role in higher education.
