EHOVE stands out as a dedicated vocational school, seamlessly integrating worker training into the public school system to prepare students for impactful careers. The journey of EHOVE began in the vibrant economic landscape of the 1960s, a period marked by significant growth in Ohio's infrastructure and economy. Recognizing the pressing need for skilled workers, state officials envisioned a vocational school that could deliver crucial training through public education. This led to the formation of the Erie Huron Ottawa Vocational Board (EHOVE) in 1965, laying the groundwork for what would become a cornerstone of regional education. Bolstered by vital public funding measures, championed by Governor James A. Rhodes, EHOVE proudly opened its doors in the fall of 1968.

EHOVE's academic strength lies in its commitment to hands-on, career-focused education. By partnering with 16 high school districts across Erie and Huron counties, including Bellevue, Danbury, Edison, and Norwalk, EHOVE ensures a broad reach and a diverse student body.
