The journey of Four County began in May 1966 with the formation of its career center district. Just three years later, in September 1969, it proudly welcomed its first cohort of 900 juniors and seniors into a state-of-the-art building that represented a significant US$5,000,000 investment. Notably, Four County carved out a unique place in Ohio's educational landscape by becoming the very first vocational school in the state to be constructed entirely with local funding, a pioneering achievement that underscored deep community commitment to career readiness.

From its original five-acre campus, which has seen continuous modern modifications to keep pace with evolving industry demands, Four County Career Center has fostered an environment of hands-on learning and professional development. Over its storied history, this esteemed center has proudly celebrated the graduation of more than 22,000 students since it opened, each leaving equipped to contribute meaningfully to their chosen fields and embark on successful professional journeys.
