This foundational commitment to practical learning evolved significantly in 1967 with the establishment of the Fox Valley Technical Institute (FVTI) by the Wisconsin Legislature. Decades of growth and dedicated service culminated in 1987 when the institution proudly became known as Fox Valley Technical College, solidifying its place as a crucial educational pillar in the region.

Among its most notable offerings is an FAA-certified Flight School, located in Oshkosh, which provides comprehensive training in pilot programs, Aircraft Maintenance Technician (A&P) certifications, and aircraft electronics.
