Fullerton College

Fullerton College, a vibrant public community college, serves over 21,000 students with a commitment to "Excellence. Elevated." Its history dates back to April 1913 when the governing board of Fullerton Union High School approved a groundbreaking two-year postgraduate course of study. Established by Fullerton High principal Delbert Brunton as Fullerton Junior College, it initially catered to just 26 students across 10 courses, growing alongside a community then focused on citrus agriculture. In 1922, it formalized its independence as a junior college district, eventually moving to its own dedicated 14-acre campus by 1936.

Fullerton College is continuously evolving to meet the needs of its students. Recent developments include the introduction of an American Indian and Indigenous Studies degree program in 2021, reflecting a commitment to diverse academic offerings. The campus boasts modern facilities, significantly upgraded through substantial bond measures. A $239 million bond in 2002 dedicated nearly $135 million to campus renovation and new construction, highlighted by the opening of a state-of-the-art library in 2005. Further, a 2014 bond secured $574 million for future projects, ensuring a dynamic and supportive learning environment for decades to come.
