Grace Christian University

Grace Christian University stands out as a vibrant institution where faith and learning are deeply intertwined. Rooted in its founding as a Bible institute, Grace is now known for its comprehensive Christian education, making the study of the Bible a core value across all degree programs. This unique approach ensures that students not only gain a robust academic foundation but also grow spiritually, preparing them to make a meaningful impact in their chosen fields and communities.

The university's journey began humbly in 1939 as an evening Bible institute in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, envisioned by Charles F. Baker to train Sunday School teachers. It quickly evolved, expanding into the Milwaukee Bible Institute in 1945 and later Milwaukee Bible College by 1953, reflecting its broadening curriculum. A significant move in 1961 brought the institution to Wyoming, Michigan, rebranding it as Grace Bible College and allowing it to offer Associate and Bachelor of Religious Education degrees, alongside a five-year degree for vocational ministers.

Grace further solidified its academic standing with accreditation from the Association of American Biblical Colleges in 1967, now known as the Association of Biblical Higher Education. Today, its academic offerings have significantly expanded to include Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Arts degrees, catering to a diverse range of student aspirations. Emphasizing accessibility and flexibility, Grace embraced online education in 2010, allowing students worldwide to engage with its distinctive curriculum. The institution's transformation culminated in 2018, when it officially became Grace Christian University, signifying its comprehensive educational scope while maintaining its foundational Christian mission.
