Great Lakes Christian College

Great Lakes Christian College (GLCC) stands as a beacon for students seeking an education deeply rooted in Christian values. From its modest beginnings, GLCC has cultivated a vibrant and supportive community, dedicated to academic excellence and spiritual formation.

Established in 1949 as Great Lakes Bible College, the institution began with just 12 students at Rock Lake, Michigan. Its early years saw a rapid evolution, from acquiring a nearby farm as its first campus in 1951 to relocating to the historic Dodge Mansion in Lansing by 1958. This journey reflects a spirit of growth and commitment to its mission.

A pivotal moment arrived in 1972 when the college moved to its current, expansive 47-acre campus in Delta Township, allowing for purpose-built facilities and greater expansion. In 1992, it officially adopted the name Great Lakes Christian College, reflecting its broader scope while retaining its core identity. Today, GLCC continues to invest in its student experience, boasting modern facilities like the multi-purpose Doty Center, dedicated in 2008, and the Knowles Learning Center, added in 2011, which provides crucial faculty offices and conference spaces.
