About Hallmark University

Hallmark University: Driving career success since 1969 with practical, industry-focused degrees.

For over five decades, Hallmark University has been dedicated to propelling students into successful, in-demand careers through hands-on, industry-aligned education. What began in 1969 as an institution authorized by the FAA to teach aircraft maintenance, quickly evolved under the visionary leadership of President Richard Fessler from 1974 to 1999, expanding its horizons far beyond its initial scope.

A true pioneer, Hallmark became the first private career school in Texas to be granted associate degree-granting authority in 1982. This landmark achievement paved the way for a remarkable expansion of academic offerings, responding directly to the needs of the job market. Programs in electronic engineering were launched in 1981, followed by business, computer networking, medical assisting, and eventually, a highly anticipated Registered Nursing program in 2011.

Today, Hallmark University continues its tradition of innovation, offering degrees in critical fields such as aeronautics, business, computer science, and healthcare. Its journey from Hallmark Institute to Hallmark College, and finally becoming Hallmark University in 2015, reflects a continuous commitment to providing practical, relevant education designed to equip students with the skills employers demand and ensure they are ready to make an immediate impact in their chosen professions.
