Harford Community College

HCC's journey began in September 1957 as "Harford Junior College," initially operating out of the basement of Bel Air High School with a modest class of 116 students. Its rapid growth quickly necessitated a new home, leading to its move in 1964 to the current expansive campus east of Bel Air. This pivotal relocation marked a new era of development, culminating in its renaming to Harford Community College in 1971, reflecting its deepened commitment to serving the broader community.

Over the decades, HCC has continually invested in its future, notably expanding its facilities in the mid-1990s with additions like a new library, Fallston Hall, Edgewood Hall, enhanced parking, and an expanded baseball sports facility. These improvements underscore HCC's dedication to providing a modern and comprehensive learning environment. With a current enrollment of 20,000 students and led by President Theresa B.
