Hesston College

Hesston College, a private institution nestled in Kansas, offers a unique educational journey for its 442 students. Since its inception, Hesston has cultivated an environment known for its intimate community feel, where students can truly connect with their peers and faculty. The college boasts a rich history, opening its doors in 1909 as Hesston Academy and Bible School. It began offering collegiate-level classes just six years later in 1915, thanks to the vision of founders T.M. Erb and A.L. Hess and the endorsement of the Kansas-Nebraska Mennonite Conference and the Mennonite Board of Education. This strong foundation with the Mennonite Church shaped its values and commitment to service, a legacy that continues even after the denomination's merger in 2002.

While high school classes were phased out by 1963, Hesston College has continued to evolve its collegiate offerings, cementing its reputation as a dedicated higher education provider. A notable addition to its campus environment is the Dyck Arboretum of the Plains, established in 1981, providing a unique outdoor learning and recreational space.
