Hocking College

Established in 1968, it uniquely offers a comprehensive two-year college experience, including the distinction of being the only two-year institution in Ohio with college-owned residence halls. Born out of a clear regional need for skilled professionals, Hocking College began as the Tri-County Institute, sharing facilities with a vocational school. From its humble beginnings with 250 students and 28 instructors, it rapidly gained authorization to grant degrees in 13 technical programs. This foundational commitment to technical education has remained central, evolving through name changes—from Hocking Technical College to its current Hocking College designation—while continually serving the workforce demands of its community.
