Over the decades, the institution evolved, changing its name to 'Alabama Conference Female College' in 1872 under the Methodist Episcopal Church, a testament to its deep roots in faith. Facing the need for growth, the college relocated to Montgomery in 1909, settling on a picturesque 58-acre campus designed by none other than Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., the visionary behind Central Park.

Despite an unfortunate fire that destroyed its initial Montgomery building and records, the college persevered, completing the iconic Flowers Hall in 1910, which set the standard for its distinctive architecture. Renamed 'Woman's College of Alabama' that same year, the institution adapted to changing times, admitting its first male students after World War I and graduating its first male in 1934. In 1935, it proudly adopted the name 'Huntingdon College,' honoring Selina, Countess of Huntingdon, a significant supporter of Methodism. Today, Huntingdon thrives, offering over 50 undergraduate programs and supporting 18 NCAA-III athletic teams, reflecting its commitment to holistic development.
