Iliff School of Theology

Founded in 1889 as a seminary of the University of Denver and named the Iliff School of Theology in 1892 after John Wesley Iliff, the institution quickly established itself. After a brief closure, it proudly reopened in 1910 as an independent Methodist seminary, showcasing its resilience and determination. A significant academic milestone was achieved in 1981 with the inauguration of a joint Ph.D. program in Religious and Theological Studies with the University of Denver, underscoring its rigorous academic offerings.
