Interactive College of Technology

Interactive College of Technology (ICT) has been a steadfast institution dedicated to practical career education since its inception in 1982. Beginning its journey as Akers Computerized Learning Centers in Athens, Georgia, the school quickly established its commitment to equipping students with tangible skills for the evolving job market, laying a strong foundation in technology-focused training.

Over the years, ICT has experienced significant growth and transformation. Following its initial establishment, the institution rapidly expanded, adding five more campuses between 1983 and 1986 across states like Texas. This period of expansion continued after its acquisition by Interactive Learning Systems in 1986, leading to additional locations in Houston and Kentucky. A pivotal moment occurred in 1996 when the organization was rebranded as Interactive College of Technology, marking a renewed focus on comprehensive vocational offerings, alongside relocating its main campus to Chamblee, Georgia.

Today, ICT continues to innovate its educational pathways. A significant strategic relationship announced in 2021 with National American University provides ICT students with an invaluable opportunity to seamlessly complete bachelor's degrees, greatly enhancing their academic and professional prospects. Throughout its remarkable history, ICT has benefited from consistent leadership, with Elmer Smith serving as its only president since 1986, fostering stability and a clear vision for career-focused education.
