Interactive College of Technology (ICT) stands as a testament to career-focused education, empowering students with the practical skills needed to thrive in today's workforce. Since its founding, ICT has been dedicated to providing accessible and relevant training, evolving with the needs of various industries to ensure its graduates are well-prepared for their chosen careers.

The institution's journey began in 1982 in Athens, Georgia, under the name Akers Computerized Learning Centers. It quickly expanded its reach, adding five more campuses across the nation, including a significant presence in Dallas, Texas, by 1986. That same year marked a pivotal moment when Interactive Learning Systems acquired the centers, and Elmer Smith stepped in as president, a role he has held ever since, providing consistent leadership and vision. This period saw further growth with new campuses in Houston, Texas, and Kentucky.

In 1996, the organization was formally renamed Interactive College of Technology, and its main campus relocated to Chamblee, Georgia, solidifying its identity and strategic presence. Demonstrating its commitment to student advancement and institutional resilience, ICT made headlines in 2021 by filing federal racketeering charges against Minerva Capital Management, and importantly, announced a strategic partnership with National American University. This collaboration offers ICT students an exciting pathway to complete bachelor's degrees, enhancing their educational opportunities and career prospects beyond their initial vocational training.
