Irene's Myomassology Institute

Irene's Myomassology Institute stands as a testament to dedicated, specialized education in the field of bodywork. What began in 1987 as The Myomassethics Center, under the vision of Irene Gauthier, quickly established itself with a commercial state license, laying the groundwork for a unique educational journey.

In January 1993, Irene Gauthier, alongside her daughter Kathy, relaunched the institution as Irene's Myomassology Institute. Starting with a 3,000-square-foot facility on Ten Mile in Southfield, Michigan, their commitment to providing high-quality myomassology education spurred rapid growth. The institute expanded significantly, reaching 8,000 square feet by 1999, yet still sought more space to accommodate its thriving student body.

This continuous growth culminated in a monumental expansion. After purchasing and rezoning land in Southfield in Fall 1999, and holding a ground blessing ceremony the following spring, Irene and Kathy opened a state-of-the-art 17,500-square-foot facility on Franklin Road in May 2001. This purpose-built campus represents the institute's unwavering dedication to providing an optimal learning environment for aspiring myomassologists, offering a comprehensive and engaging student experience in a modern setting.
