Keiser University-Lakeland is a branch of Keiser University, a private institution rooted in Florida with a mission to prepare students for successful careers. Established in 1977 by Arthur and Evelyn Keiser as a career college, it has grown significantly from its initial focus on business and healthcare to offer a wide array of programs across various disciplines. Initially known as The Keiser School, it progressively expanded its offerings, becoming Keiser Institute of Technology, then Keiser College, and finally Keiser University in 2006.
