Klamath Community College

Klamath Community College (KCC) stands as a testament to the power of community initiative, a vibrant public institution born from the clear vision of Klamath County's voters. Established on May 21, 1996, KCC was created to provide accessible and high-quality higher education right where it was needed most. It offers a crucial pathway for local residents to pursue academic and career goals, embodying a commitment to regional growth and individual success.

The college's journey began uniquely, with its initial years marked by innovative partnerships. Before establishing its own physical presence, KCC courageously served its students by contracting with esteemed institutions like Rogue Community College, Oregon Institute of Technology, and Portland Community College. This period of collaborative learning underscored the community's unwavering determination to foster local educational opportunities, laying the groundwork for the college's eventual independence and growth.

The year 2000 marked a pivotal moment for KCC with the grand opening of its permanent campus. Spanning a generous 57 acres on the east side of Klamath Falls, this dedicated space transformed the learning experience, providing students with a centralized and modern environment to pursue their studies. Under the leadership of President Dr. Roberto Gutierrez, KCC continues its mission to deliver foundational education, workforce training, and pathways to further academic endeavors, deeply rooted in the needs and aspirations of the Klamath community.
