Klamath Community College

Klamath Community College (KCC) stands as a beacon of public education in Klamath County, Oregon, offering accessible and high-quality learning opportunities for its community. Established by the forward-thinking voters of the county, KCC has grown into a vital institution dedicated to fostering local talent and providing pathways to academic and career success. The story of KCC is one of community vision and determination. Following the establishment of a dedicated community college service district in 1996, the institution initially operated by partnering with other prominent Oregon colleges, including Rogue Community College, Oregon Institute of Technology, and Portland Community College, to offer classes in various rented facilities. This period of growth demonstrated the community's strong desire for local higher education options.

This commitment culminated in a significant milestone in 2000 with the grand opening of its permanent campus. This move solidified KCC's presence, providing a dedicated 57-acre home on the east side of Klamath Falls, designed to serve generations of students. As a public community college, KCC is focused on providing foundational education, career training, and transfer opportunities designed to meet the diverse needs of its student body, right in the heart of Southern Oregon.
