Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) stands as a vibrant public community college, dedicated to preparing students for successful careers and continued education. With a focus on hands-on learning and practical skills, LRCC is renowned for its robust programs in fields like Computer and Electrical Technologies, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Nursing, and Fire Science. Tracing its roots back to 1967 as Laconia College, LRCC has continually evolved to meet the needs of its community and students. A significant physical expansion in 1980 added the Robert H. Turner wing, marking an early commitment to growth. The turn of the millennium brought even more transformative developments, solidifying LRCC's reputation as a forward-thinking institution.

The commitment to cutting-edge education is evident in LRCC's state-of-the-art facilities. The 2005 completion of the Center for Arts and Technology brought together creative and technical disciplines, housing Computer Technologies, Electrical Technologies, Fine Arts, and Graphic Design programs. This was further enhanced in 2013 with the opening of the 24,000 square foot Health and Science Building, featuring modern labs for Nursing, Fire Science, and general sciences, alongside new student spaces and a 140-seat mini-auditorium.
