Lancaster Bible College

Lancaster Bible College (LBC) stands as a beacon of Christian education, dedicated to preparing students for lives of impact and service rooted in biblical truth. Established in 1933 by Henry J. Heydt as the Lancaster School of the Bible, the institution has grown from its foundational commitment to scriptural instruction into a dynamic college renowned for integrating faith with rigorous academics across various disciplines.

Throughout its history, LBC has consistently expanded its educational offerings to meet the evolving needs of its students and the world. After moving to its current Lancaster County campus in 1957 and adopting its present name in 1973, the college gained official approval in 1981 to offer the Bachelor of Science in Bible degree. This foundational undergraduate program was later complemented by a thriving graduate school, approved in 1994 to award Master of Arts degrees in Bible, Ministry, and Counseling, alongside Master of Education degrees in School Counseling and Consulting Resource Teacher.

The college's unwavering commitment to its distinct biblical worldview is underscored by a Title IX exception granted in 2016, allowing the college to uphold its religious beliefs in institutional policies.
