Landmark College

Landmark College, established in 1985 with the motto "Nosce te ipsum" (Know thyself), is renowned as a trailblazer in higher education, specifically designed for students with learning disabilities (LD) and ADHD. With a close-knit community of 650 students, this private college offers highly individualized support, helping students understand their unique learning styles, develop effective strategies, and build confidence for lifelong success. It's a place where neurodivergent learners find an environment tailored to their strengths and needs.

The college's inspiring journey began on the campus of the former Windham College, which lay dormant until a vision to establish a unique educational institution took hold in 1985. Under leaders like President Lynda Katz (1994-2011), Landmark College underwent significant campus expansion and earned national recognition. Landmark's expertise in supporting neurodivergent learners was formally acknowledged with federal grants, allowing it to share its innovative teaching methodologies and insights on learning disabilities nationwide, solidifying its role as a thought leader in the field.

Today, Landmark College continues to evolve its academic offerings and student experience. Under more recent leadership, the college introduced its first bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies in 2012, alongside associate degrees in Computer Science and Life Science (now Biology). The dedication to cutting-edge learning is evident in facilities like the $9.6 million MacFarlane Building, a state-of-the-art science and technology center opened in 2015. Students benefit from comprehensive support services housed in the Strauch Family Student Center and modern recreational facilities in the Chris Family Click Center.
