Lindsey Wilson College, soon to be Lindsey Wilson University, boasts a vibrant history rooted in its founding by the Louisville Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, in 1903. What began as a training school preparing young minds for Vanderbilt University and the teaching profession has blossomed into a dynamic institution. Over more than a century, Lindsey Wilson has consistently evolved, expanding its curriculum from a two-year junior college to a four-year liberal arts college, and now offers robust master's and doctoral programs in fields like counseling and human development.

The college is known for its remarkable growth and continuous investment in its campus and programs. The 2000s saw over $100 million in transformative capital projects, introducing state-of-the-art facilities like the Jim and Helen Lee Fugitte Science Center, the comprehensive Lindsey Wilson Sports Park, and the modern Doris and Robert Holloway Health & Wellness Center. Academically, Lindsey Wilson provides a comprehensive education, underpinned by its enduring liberal arts tradition.
