Malone University

Nestled in Canton, Ohio, Malone University stands as a distinguished private Christian institution with a rich heritage dating back to 1892. Founded by Walter and Emma Malone, it maintains a strong affiliation with the Evangelical Friends Church – Eastern Region, embodying its motto, "Christ's Kingdom First," in all aspects of academic and community life.

Initially established in Cleveland as a small Bible institute focused on inner-city ministry, Malone's journey has been one of purposeful growth and transformation. After a necessary relocation to Canton in 1956, the institution strategically expanded its academic scope, transitioning from Malone College to a comprehensive liberal arts college offering degrees in diverse fields such as education, political science, history, music, and psychology. This move not only preserved its founding mission but also positioned it as a leader in higher education for the Stark County area.
